Hampton Beach in New Hampshire has an exciting summer events schedule planned for this year. While most were cancelled or delayed last year due to the pandemic, all of Hampton Beach’s typical events are back on for 2021. Find all the details below!
Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic
Featuring 10 world class sand sculptors, this event began June 10th when 200 tons of imported sand were dropped on Hampton Beach. It will run throughout the following week with the competition portion wrapping up Saturday, June 19th with an Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. Don’t miss the judging and People’s Choice Award Voting during the day on June 19th to vote for your favorite! The entire area is illuminated for night viewing through June 27th
Nightly Shows at Sea Shell Stage
The nightly shows at Sea Shell Stage began June 11th and will run through early September. All shows are held from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m with a half hour break at 8:00 p.m. All of the shows are free to attend and weather dependent. The entire lineup can be viewed on the Hampton Beach website.
On July 6th through the 8th, the Country Music Festival will take place at Sea Shell Stage during the normal performance time with three nights of Country Music. There will be line dance lessons as well during Country Music Fest daily from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
On August 27th through the 29th, the Hampton Beach Talent Contest will take place at Sea Shell Stage during the normal performance time.
The weekly fireworks have been delayed for the time due to the nesting of Piping Plovers where they typically go off, but should resume later in June or early July and will run through the end of August. They take place every Wednesday at the top of B and C Streets at 9:30 p.m. The rain date is the following Friday. There are also special fireworks on the weekends of the Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Beach & Brew Fest
Smuttynose Brewing Company is partnering with the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce to host the Beach & Brew Fest on Saturday, June 26th. This 21+ event will feature samples from over 13 different breweries, private food trucks, a cornhole tournament, live music, and more! Monday Night Movies
Starting July 12th, Monday Night Movies on the beach will return and run through August. All movies are family-friendly and start at dusk. Admission is free – just bring your own snacks and chairs! The rain date is the following Tuesday.
Hampton Beach Children’s Festival
You’ll find magic shows, activities, contests, a huge costume parade, and more at the annual Children’s Festival in Hampton Beach. It kicks off on Monday, August 16th and runs throughout the week, concluding with a Costume Parade on Friday, August 20th at 11 a.m. Each child that participates in the Costume Parade receives a prize for taking part. The full schedule of events will be published on the Hampton Beach website. All Children’s Festival activities are free.
